Most likely either duel 1 hand axes, hand axe + shield or a 2-handed war hammer. Possibly use a fury system similar to warriors in WoW only the angrier you are the more damage you deal/less you receive... maybe at 100% you have a red flame effect on your character for some kind of berserker rage.

What would the weapons be?

I vote for one-handed mace (Mjolnir relic gogo) and a shield, but focused more around retaliatory blocks and use the shield more like a striking weapon than paladin does.

Also to differentiate it from warrior, viking could have more magic-based attacks that do lightning, water, or even ice damage. They'd probably have more speed than warriors. kinda like bulkier rogues, and even have Pillage as a skill. For defensive components, they could possibly be built around block strength (paladin is a little more about block rate), and have Pillage as a cooldown to reduce the target's damage dealt and maybe increase damage taken by the target as well.

Yes I know a lot of people want SAM as Tank I do too. As for weapons One handed Axe Or Maces. like in FF3. As to what they would be doing in Ala Mhigo I could not say but it would be the same as lore wise for SAM what would they be doing there. Yes the name was used on the gear... However there is a mob named Viking mammet it has a one handed axe and shield.

Dunno what you're pointing out here. If you meant to @ "one handed axes" then that's not the same as WAR since we just have one giant axe. If you meant WAR = Viking, then nah - WAR actually originated further out from Limsa in the mountains and we basically just helped the helpless.
