Even though the mats might be cheap you also need to consider crafter's time + MB space.

If you want to crash the price feel free to do it - it's completely fine to craft things for non-profit reasons. But don't be surprised when someone buys all your stacks and then resells them for 10 times your price.

Hope that individual enjoys buying 1 to 3 at a time x60...... and once sold I'll add more daily..... besides i wouldn't set them all at 2k... I will do a gradual drop every 3rd to 4th post. If starts at 14k i'll sell 4 posts at 13k then sell the next 4 posts at 12k.... and so on until the prices are finally around 2k.....

If this keeps up I am going to spend several weeks gathering/farming multiple apon multiple stacks of mats and crash the market board to the point its back down to 1k to 2k a pop for all types of glamour crystals. In all honesty SE needs to rethink the glamour system.

Well, the mats can be bought for cheap from city vendors and slyphs so.. no farming needed. They go that high because demand allows it.

I'm a simple man. I put something up to sell, undercut the lowest by a small amount like 10 gil and so until it sells or goes too low for my liking in which case I'll wait until it stabilizes or NPC it. Stack dominance? No problem, sell individually, even the cheap stuff. Now while I could spend more time using market tactics to turn the server economy in my favour and make a much bigger profit in the long run, here's the thing, I don't have time to care about that, I'll always get more stuff to sell.

The glamour side of FFXIV on the market board is getting really out of hand. For example 5k+ for a Cloth 1 glamour crystal is pretty bad then you look at a cloth 3 or smith 3 its going for 14k+ which is insanely over priced. The mats are super easy to gather and glamour crystals 1 - 5 are cheap and they drop from dungeons like gum drops on Xmas morning. 10 to 15 mins of gathering/farming is all you need to craft multiple glamour crystals of all types and practically for free. All you need is a lvl 30 crafting class to make glamour crystals.... I just dont understand how people think its perfectly normal to sell them for 14k a pop.

Speaking about future, it is also possible to earn the lost gil back.

I sold enough of glamour prisms in few days that it covered all the gil I wasted before I had crafters.

The glamor prisms are not going to be any cheaper so the best option to fix the issue is to start crafting.
