in some ways it is a vicious circle then,

but it's a buyers market, if people wanted cheaper prices, they would simply wait, prices will drop, and drop some more, but they don't, the onus and blame can't be levelled with crafters alone.

that's the other marked difference between JP players and their western counterparts, we have no patience and want everything right now, without the will to put enough work in. hence RMT exists.

I think that's what baffles me the most...people don't have the will to...spend time playing the game.

Back when demi-materia were implemented, the idea was to create a whole new mechanic for crafters so that they suddenly have some kind of "endgame".
Patch day, people complained that these new recipe were just advertising RMT.../facepalm

it's sad, paying real money to achieve something in game that could be done with minimal effort at best.

same thing for crafters, on my old server people selling powerlevelling for crafts, great, but it's forgetting that little thing, you're not gonna learn how to craft by having someone else carry you to 60. it doesn't work like that, but people think oh Lvl60 crafter, everything is much easy now /o\

I had a good friend like that, Lvl60 weaver and he tried the Lvl50 3 star craft for the master book and utterly failed, because he didn't know ><

western culture is rewards, oh look I have everything at Lvl60, god I am the best, JP players, they savour the work and the journey involved in learning.

DESYNTH! so addictive (got my title too but the amount of materia I lost out on for desynthing is crazy HAHA)

Don't worry, I'm sure the dev team has some pretty nerf in their sleeve to make crafting as cheesy as dungeons and story trials...

Certainly a lot easier than being a level 50 crafter. Like, outrageously easier. And long as you're willing to read a handy-dandy guide for 20 minutes you can get on the exact same skill level as your peers.

I make a million gil a week right now without Actively trying to make gil. There is currently no real GIL SINK. Which is what is needed.

IE 50k gil/person Fee to do savage content. Party fee waved with someone without clear.

Why would you pick the only group of players that actully has to spend tons of gil for gear/pots/food/overmelds etc to do battle job content?

the whole crafting system since Heavensward leans towards easier, look at the master books and how they are acquired versus ARR books, instead of a tough craft, craft rubbish, trade for tokens, tokens for books, it's ><

it does give the capable crafters a serious head start when the harder new things arrive and cycle continues...

Well...consider that people play and pay for the game in order to gain enjoyment. If playing the game is unenjoyable, they would, naturally, rather do something else, something more enjoyable. And in the case of RMT, it's literally saying:"The content I'd have to do to get the virtual money is less fun than the real work I'd have to do to get the real money." Pretty devastating judgement of the content, wouldn't you say?
