I'm bored; farming my final Yo-kai medals. So I thought I'd post about this. It's basically just a wishlist. I don't expect anything to come of it. I don't care if "they won't do that," or "they said they won't do that." I take that as a given. If they do, they do. If they don't, they don't. It's their game, so whatever. This is simply how I would personally like to see Summoner changed.

Job basics:
Class stays as Arcanist.
Job stays as Summoner.
Summoner keeps DoT as its primary source of damage.
Keeps Emerald and Topaz Carbuncle. Add new moves for both to equal current Garuda/Titan Egi.
Add Ruby Carbuncle. Add moves equal to Ifrit Egi.
Change quests accordingly.

New mechanics:
By challenging the Primals in game, the player unlocks the ability to use said Primal's power in battle.
The ability Enkindle is changed, with shorter recast.
Enkindle will summon a Primal Spirit to use its signature move. Player has the ability to choose which Primal, but they will all be shared by Enkindle.

Primal Spirits:
When summoned, each Primal Spirit will use it's own signature move, causing roughly the same damage, but adding a various "bonus" effect.
Examples: Ifrit uses his move on target, and gives a 0:15 attack boost to party members around the target's area. Titan could give a defensive boost. Ramuh could stun all enemies within the target area.
Once the called Primal Spirit uses their ability, they return to the Aether.

It's a lot of reworking, yes. But the benefit is you can continually add more Primals, without worrying about them replacing your pet, or finding a use. The pet would always be Carbuncle, in melee, ranged, or tank form. Plus it feels like Summoner is actually summoning the Primals' power.
