    Upper tiers of an action (such as Fire II and Fire III) will be abolished in favor of a system wherein potency and MP cost are scaled based on the player’s level.

    Fifteen actions and eleven traits will be made available for each class up to level 50, with either one action or trait learned for every two levels gained. Job-exclusive actions will be made obtainable via quests and treated separately.

    Not being bound to any class in particular, the shield skill has been handled as an irregularity when it came to the obtainment of experience points and actions. In reviewing the identity of each class, it was decided that shield actions should be made a part of the gladiator arsenal. In order to streamline the system and accentuate class uniqueness, the shield skill will be phased out and instead take the form of actions and traits learnable by gladiators.

    So @ 50:

    1-You'll have 15 Class abilities, 11 traits and 10 slots for cross class abilities.

    2-Tier of spells (and maybe abilities) will be abolished and instead the ability will get stronger the higher you are.

    3-Traits are now class exclusive.

    4-Shield abilities are now exclusive to GLA.

    5-No more getting traits with tokens.

    6-Can't unequip main class actions but can move them around in the action bar.

    Just got done and I do like what I'm hearing. The only thing I'm not happy about is all the work i did with Guild Marks, but they said they will make up for what we already have done so all in all I can't wait for this patch.

    I still plan on working on obtaining guildmarks until they release~ I'll be able to re-inburse them a bit later.

    I'm still curious how they expect CNJ's to cure now with 1 spell since they're doing away with tiers.... one cure with a 5 second recast... I smell trouble. Yay require all healers to know level THM (I hope players did in the first place but really?)

    Looking forward to seeing post #2... Hopefully we'll see an extension to multiple healing spells introduced...

    All looks good, but i feel alittle sad they're doing away with Tier spells completely I like using higher Tiers because it seperates our spells from the lower lvl ones.

    Also Shield becoming part of Gladiator will bother some ppl.

    I could be wrong but i think it just refers to traits and abilities involving shield. CNJ and THM will probably still be able to equip shields and abilities pertaining to them but those abilities will now be earned as gladiator instead of sentinel.

    I can see many upset by the new. I love the direction they are taking in trying to give each class its uniqueness.

    Am even more curious to see how the job system will be handled....

    I hope the removal of tiers also applies to things like Raging Strike I and II.
    If the class-specific actions are already obtained at present, will they have to be re-obtained through quest, or will the quest be considered done?
