Thread: about "wait till V2.0"

cause V2.0 isnt for another 12 months MINIMUM!

It's a lot of work to make a game, let alone overhaul a game. I see nothing wrong with this. By the time 2.0 is released a lot of issues will be resolved which is holding back a lot of fixes and content (and making it unnecessarily harder to do so till then) thus the 'wait till 2.0'.

So it is indeed being used constructively.

not a valid reply for threads asking for more content.

"wait for 1.20 and 1.21" ARE valid because they are short term. 12 months + is long term and not valid to threads asking for more content.

now for threads rambling on about bugs and ect yeah fair play, wait till 2.0 is valid because 90% of the bugs we got will be eradicated like an exterminator swept through town doing free exterminations. but come on, for those asking for more content telling them to wait a year or more isnt a constructive reply.

I don't generally post on Japanese boards relating to gaming unless they request a English > Japanese translation in a more understandable manner (since a lot of western people who speak Japanese tend to use 'machine' like translations which comes off as unnatural and hard to understand at times) plus I like working on my English since I'm on board at my company for localization so it helps communicating in English.

That's the thing though, 2.0 is when they'll pretty much have "the game fixed" which is when they can finally dump a lot of content and go forward with it. Prior to that, is when they're trying to get as many fixes to the game as possible in place including the new server infrastructure.

Some things can't be implemented until the servers are revamped and the engine improved. If you look at the calendar you would see that porting of existing content and debugging of new features starts in April and runs to October.

Frankly, 6 months for essentially a brand new game is pretty speedy.

i agree, they're moving pretty swiftly considering the challenge that they face.

just wish people would sway away from "wait till 2.0 is out" and actually give people information. its like you go to the doctors and have this conversation.

doctor: well your terminally ill
you: whats wrong with me?
doctor: well you'll have to wait untill we find a cure for me to tell you

why not just say what the illness is?

poster 2: well 1.20 has new content and features being brought it, theres a roadmap under "this" link, check it out and you will see that they have alot of work but my the time 2.0 is out it'll be a whole new game and we have more patches coming before then and new content being brought in before 2.0 as well.
