    You have an option that allows to display ONLY your debuff/effect and not the others' ones, if that may be of any help. You will then see all your applied effects all the time.

    Strangely, this option should allow you to see all of the detrimental effects applied by you, but it's not always the case. Even with the other icons trimmed away, the icon limitation still seems to apply.

    For example with this option on as a Ninja (showing only my detrimental effects), Mutilate or Shadow Fang won't always appear to be active on the target even if they are. It can make it pesky to re-apply them efficently.

    I'm pretty sure your wildfire is still on the boss and doing damage even if the debuff falls off due to the sheer spam in alliance sized content. An easy way to confirm this for yourself is to watch your emnity bar when it's about to go off - Wildfire is one of the single largest sources of damage in the game so you'll definitely see the bar jump slightly when it triggers.

    If you're able to make it out amid all the spell effects, you can see the animation, and sometimes the sound effect going off too.

    This isn't really MCH related, but for BRDs for example you can watch the scrolling combat text to confirm if your debuffs on are on the boss. If you have venomous bite and windbite on the boss for example, even if the debuff is invisible, if you iron jaws to refresh them and those debuffs are present on the boss, you'll see "+Venomous Bite" and "+Windbite" text flash and scroll past.

    Yes but Wildfire's explosion animation is noticeable now, yet when the icon is bumped off, I also never see the detonation or the floating damage text. Pretty sure if the icon falls off, you won't see Wildfire's animation, which means the damage is not applied.

    Even this far on, this stupid limitation exists. Having to hope your dot is on, even though you can't see it, having to guess when to refresh it etc. You can toggle to show only your effects, which does help, but then also just bring in new problems, like not knowing if someone else has already applied trick attack or any of the debuffs that do not stack with your own (eg delirium)

    people shouldn't have to do weird things just to accommodate a system that does not work in the way everyone would expect

    I've noticed in some of my *cough* fight logs *cough* of weeping city it doesn't show my wildfire on some bosses even though I used it. Perhaps it is a bug of some sort, or "working as intended" with regard to the DOT limitation.

    It sucks.. makes keeping dots up difficult if you are trying to time something like iron jaws...

    But I suspect it may be a limitation from the consoles.... one that we PC players need to just deal with.

    Would be nice if your DoT's showed up first on the bosses status bar, that way I don't have to guess when I should be using Iron Jaws, seems like a simple QoL fix that is long overdue, its a huge issue, but it is present nonetheless. I get having a second bar and a DoT limit, but let us at least see our own as priority.
