On a serious note, if this gets item level synced it will be a good thing because it'll let people know about it before getting into ranked Feast.

An ilvl sync option would be great. Without such an option, ilvl will play a much bigger role than it should during a duel.

It's so obvious that even they noticed something wrong,
if not why was thay ask to us for it?! XD
Anyway it's nice that there is a unsynced version (I hope PvP materias will work atleast there) for a totally fun/dumb clash with your friends, BUT
The priority is about the synced matches, in order to really figure out how a player can pressure you in The Feast/Frotnline, considering that there isn't any unsynced pvp content
(maybe lv50 The Fold but... we all know that it's dead)
Would be nice to have no-instanced location for ilvl150 and ilvl80 sync in order to check equipment effects. Mebbe in your private chamber you could adjust ilvl?

Agreed. I like the dueling mode, but leaving it unsynced is not the greatest idea. I mean, I know that's how it works in other games, but all of our PvP revolves around level sync right now. In this form, it's more a thing for people to do when they get bored than any real tool for helping players test out things and improve. Then again, maybe that's exactly what they intended.
If anything, maybe there should be some way to have options for level sync: Unsynced, ilvl 80, ilvl 150. Theoretically it could work similar to the syncing function for FATEs, only it also affects item level as well.

Definitely requesting this! Here's three good reasons right off the top of my head:
- 1. It would let new players know, RIGHT OFF THE BAT, that there is a level sync in PvP.
This is essential, because new players just don't have a clue what they're getting into when they queue up for PvP, especially players who are fresh to 60. It's one thing to have an ilvl 200 + PvE set and queue up. It's another entirely to queue up with a ilvl 150 set that barely meets the entry requirement.
- 2. It allows us to train with the EXACT SAME CONDITIONS we are under in the arena.
This is very important, because it creates a baseline for when we're training or teaching new players. How are new players supposed to know what to expect in the arena if they aren't dueling at the same level as they are competing? Better yet, how are we supposed to do accurate testing for gear stats and burst dmg if we're not conducting the tests within the same conditions we're competing? If we want an accurate training tool, then level sync is essential. Otherwise, duels between equal jobs will boil down to who has the better gear, rather than who actually knows what they're doing. I realize that duels aren't meant to be balanced in the first place, but there's no need for this. It completely underwrites the purpose of training.
- 3. Allows us to (finally) stat check and test our builds before getting into the arena.
This is something I've kind of wanted for a while now, just for convenience. As things are, the only way to accurately view stat caps is to max a stat while under level sync is to actually go into a match and see where the caps are. Assuming you haven't memorized what each stat cap is for each specific job, you'll have to queue for real matches to test out your builds and see if they meet the caps. If dueling were synced, however, we would no longer have to go through this relatively annoying process every time we wanted to test out a new job in PvP. Instead, you could just request a duel, view your stat page, end the duel, make adjustments, then request a duel again. It would be much faster and easier. Once you got it the way you like it, you can actually test it out and see how the numbers stack up without any of the clutter or fuss of an actual match.
I'm sure there are more reasons than this, as well. I realize that SE is mostly putting duels in for fun and to give us something to do between queues, but there are some serious and practical applications to this feature that only work if level sync is in effect. It needs to happen.

add ilvl sync pls ty
Actually, this is bringing up another concern of mine that I almost forgot about. Does anyone know if statuses follow PvP rules or PvE rules within Wolves Den Pier? I remember that, back in the day, stuns didn't use the PvP timers on the training dummies in the WD pier area. It's not a big deal on the dummies, because most people only use them to test rotations, but it's a different story in duels. It would be seriously misleading to new players if statuses didn't work the same way in duels as they do in an actual match.
