On topic: I agree with your post completely. While it is true that it's a game and people should decide how they want to play, but I think that should only goes as far as not affecting others. If people decide to come unprepared and ill mannered, then they shouldn't be too surprised to find themselves kicked from the party.

Some people are bad at MMO's. Please don't fail when you join my party. People on the internet forget their manners sometimes. Don't do that either.

Oh, well now that I've been enlightened, allow me to comment. It's obvious you didn't read the post without saying so. Only in the first paragraph did I complain; The rest of the post was meant to help others that may need it. I can't figure out what's more idiotic: The fact that you didn't read the post and still thought you had any clue on how to appropriately paraphrase it, or the fact that you altogether admit that you didn't read it.

I was writing a tl;dr for people who wouldn't or didn't read it. I never said I didn't read it. You pick on me for not reading and you can't be bothered to read a five sentence post.

I've been astonished the past few days in seeing people joining my group totally ill-prepared to take on the task at hand.

I don't want my time wasted by some kid that can't be bothered to take 5 minutes to get proper gear or have half a brain and play his/her role.

Then don't party with them if it is going to upset you to play with people who simply do not want/cant play as well as you do nor care/are ignorant about being more prepared at the time you want them to be.

There, your problem is solved.

Mind Your Manners. I don't (shouldn't) have to remind you all to say please and thank you when it's warranted, as this section is more about ingame courtesies, rather. Don't criticise another player or situation in any channel outside of /tell. Even then, make sure it's much more constructive than patronising. Don't join an event with less than an hour to spend doing it, emergencies notwithstanding.
