Palace of The Dead - Makes me want to quit the game

I'm still baffled this is in a 2016 game. I had a friend renew a month of FFXIV to play with me, even though he's playing Legion and Black Desert Online, and this is the best way we can play if we have different levels or classes?

That aside, the whole thing is worse than something you'd find in Diablo 1 in 1997. I'm just floored at how horrible it is.

How can anyone who greenlit and designed this be competent enough to match up to other MMOs in the future.

I'm simply in awe of how dreadful this is. I'm literally so stunned I had to make a thread on it, because I'm in total disbelief that someone else didn't have the same reaction.

Perhaps a comprehensive breakdown of where you find flaws in PotD, and sugestions on how to fix them would be helpful.

Its just another no substance leveling dungeon. Wait for floors 101-200. (still won't have any substance)

Those floors are more or less leaderboard challenges, so don't expect anything fancy other than to show off through a title or something for completing it.

Recently came back after an 8 month break, and I find PotD to honestly be one of the best additions they've made to the game. In it you can:

Level an alt class fairly quickly (quicker than waiting in dps queues, I believe).
Make money (by selling Materia V)
Get an easily attainable i235 weapon for numerous jobs depending on how much you want to grind
Forego expert roulettes and cap lore with a few full 1-50 runs while making money/getting a weapon
Solo friendly for many jobs
Get to try out new and sometimes wonky party compositions

All in all, I think it is great and would love to know why you dislike it so much.

They also let you unlock the quest skills as you go so you don't feel "gimp" and can try out the abilities before you get them in the outside world. ^^
