Disciple Of The Land: New Class: Hunter Idea

When I speak of visual progression. I mean the class look will range between your standard disciple of land gear and a westernish theme at low levels. As you approach the mid to endgame, your character starts looking more steampunkish with more trinkets. As you reach endgame, the class artifact starts to wear heavier armor type gear.

This class would be the class for players who don't typically craft, but wanted to try it here. Others may just want to level it so they can attain certain glamours.

The question may be, why should one class get a special mount? I say that I wish they would and that other economic classes should get their own version of a special mount as well. Elder Scrolls Online added a feature called Crafting Bag which gives a ton more crafting inventory space. I feel that a mount here could serve the same purpose and be even better as it adds identity and flair to each class.

I want to see this companion have some personality. At low levels Interceptor is a very cute puppy who assist you in your hunting adventures. As he grows older he becomes an adult doberman with new found strength. As you reach endgame he ages like a fine wine and gains new skills and artifact gear.

It is a nice concept and appreciate much the time and effort you out into this but unfortunately it has no chance being implemented into this game. Could be reworked for an actual disciple of war / magic class though.

Excatly, it's mechanics are too unique and complex, and because classes have to be relatively homogeneous to each other to stop one overshadowing the rest (SE are trying to stop a repeat of FFXI), this would just be too gamebreaking. Also why does this class get a special mount over other Disciples of the Land? The whole reason CNJ and tanks got special mounts was an incentive for players to actually play as those roles, where as SE seems to be less interested in the importance of Disciples of the Hand and Land, regarding them as more a secondary part of the game, something optional players can do if they feel like it.

You've clearly put a lot of thought and work into this (like your other ideas), so well done. It's just that sadly I do not see SE ever adding anything like this into the game (some aspects of this reminds me of the 'Shepherd' class concept that SE had planned for 1.0 but never implemented, so that shows that an animal/creature harvesting class concept simply is not workable I'm afraid).

I suggested each Doh/Dol get their own unique versions. Example, fisherman could get a dolphin like FFVII. On it he/she could hunt coastal NM, spear fish, and reach areas otherwise unavailable.

Botanist could get a a wolf, squirrel or some other creature to assist climbing high up areas to chop wood, or pick berries.

In my opinion, all classes should be important to SE, maybe not as important as battle classes. This game ranks amongst a few known to have a good crafting system. What is a crafter centric player to do if there is not exciting avenues for them and at endgame? Why is hamlet not a thing?

Is the only reward for maximizing these classes going through the main story on different classes besides land and hand?
