Questions for Balmung (An FClooking to transfer here)

Hello there Balmung! My name is Kai!

Hey there everyone, so my FC and I (small FC three people) are considering transferring to Balmung from Zalera! However, unlike other servers on our possible transfer list we can't create alts to test the waters first hand so I'm going to ask a few questions here.

1. What's the endgame situation like (PF and clears.)? While not looking for savage statics we do like to clear EX primals and farm them like no tomorrow! We've cleared all but Nidhogg EX (due to lack of learning parties on our server) and we are eager to get that done, as well as head into the new primals coming in 3.4! Is it easy to get into learning groups? How long to farm groups usually stay together. Is the PF fairly active late at night? (we game till about 3am sometimes or longer depending on work)


2. The economy: My FC leader is an avid crafter who has all classes leveled to 60. So, naturally he is interested in the Economy and Market board on Balmung. What kind of stuff is most profitable? How often does the market shift? Zalera had a pretty brutal economy so we're hoping Balmung is a bit more stable. Also, what is housing like? How often, if at all, do houses become available for purchase?

3. RP community: while my FC leader isn't a huge RPer (he did table top way back), my wife and I are experienced Rpers! This was a main drawing point for the two of us. We're are open to joining a mid/small active RP FC. We'd also like them to be fairly active when it comes to end game content as well since as stated my FC leader isn't all that much into RP. (might convince him otherwise)

1) End game can be active, if you start a learning party, it isn't hard to fill in the 1 hour window. The farm parties can vary in how long they stick together.

2) The market isn't hard to make a million gil, the market typically favors buying during the week and selling in weekends. The market for houses is pretty locked down, I see PF for housing all the time(for wanting to buy) but pretty much will always go unanswered. There isn't much incentive to sell.

3) There are many mid sized FC's that fit your description so finding one shouldn't be too hard. In fact, let me offer up my free company for you to consider. The name is Death By Hairball and we are a Miqo'te/Au Ra only FC. We are a mid sized FC with around 51 members. We have a medium house in the Lavender Beds. We are active and do weekly events together. We're like a family that help each other and try to progress as far as we can as an FC. We aren't really an RP FC, but starting Saturday we're trying to do a weekly RP event. So we're trying to get a little RP in the FC. Below is our weekly schedule of events:
Mon - EX Primals 7:30pm CST
Tues - Maps/Aquapolis 6pm CST
Wed - Palace of the dead 6pm CST
Fri - Pony farm 5-7 start time (whenever we have enough we'll go)
Sat - RP Event

We also are trying to get everyone final coil clears before 3.4 drops. So if you guys need any of the coils (T1-13) we can schedule a time to do that as well. We generally have around 10-12 people online during our peak hours (5pm-10pm CST mon-fri) and there's always someone online. If you're heavy on RP then this is your server, lots of ppl spend their time in cities blowing up the chats. As for end game I say it's mediocre. Server PF does quiet down around 10-11pm PST. Avg progression is AS6 with maybe 2 FC groups heavy on end game raiding, selling midas right now but there's always a bird/pony farm group through out the day. Market is allot cheaper than other servers, that can be either a plus or a con. Finding groups and fill-ins for savage is hard atm unless you're coming in with a static, might change once 3.4 rolls out. Good luck!
