Main Story quest doesnt seem to be working.

I have returned to the game after a very long time and the quest "price of principals" isn't starting. I had completed "the ultimate weapon" which is the last quest on my completed list, but there is no one in the solar to talk to. The only quest NPC in the sands is the guy who wants me to fight the Moogle King. Any IDeas?

If Urianger is offering the quest for King Mog Extreme then you've already completed "The Price of Principles" and most of the 2.1 quests.

The patch story quests are listed separately from the ARR launch quests in the Journal. Use the drop down menu to switch from "The Seventh Umbral Era" quests to the "Seventh Astral Era Quests" to see where you are in the patch story.

After 2.1 the Scions move to Mor Dhona so your next quest may be in The Rising Stones (entrance in the back of the 7th Heaven bar in Mor Dhona).

ok, well that explains a lot. I had not seen the toggle for the quest lines on the main quest tab until it was mentioned and i went looking and have gone through "build on stone". THank you for the help.

He hadnt offered the quest for the moogle king extreme, just the original one "the king lives" thank goodness, when i left people were still struggling with that boss on normal .

EDIT: went to the bar in mor dhona and that is where I should have been. Thanks for the help

"The King Lives" is the quest for the extreme version.
The story version is "You have selected Regicide" which you have completed to get to "Build on the Stone".

wow it really has been a long time, i dont ever remember even beating him the first time, but i guess I must have. At any rate, thanks for the help
