    Maintenance

Is there ever, going to be any Maintenances for just lag and loading issues? There are many people that had posted about these problems, and even moreso. Can we please get a Dev to reply or something telling us things are going to be getting resolved?

Because right now, I'm not inclined on supporting a game that doesn't allow me to play.

Is it the game though? I am getting zero lag on PC and never really seem to have an issue with it and neither do others I know, ps3/4 players I know do but that inclines me to believe its the system moreso than the game itself.

In a chat with my ISP now. Seeing if they can do anything to help this. Sorry!

Okay. I had talked with my ISP. They told me to manually change the Control Channel to test the internet. First, they told me to put it at 11 (highest). My DL speed was 15.05 MBPS. With an Upload speed of 4.89. The agent I was talking to thought that was not good enough, considering my plan I am with. 30 Mbps with an Up speed of 5 (my plan). They then told me to put it at 1 Channel (lowest). I did so and ran the test again. I got 31.68 Download. With an upload speed of 3.03. Thy thought this was good considering my download speed.

With more troubleshooting, and more unplugging and plugging and maintenance on the modem's data, I am still lagging badly. And just now I got a 90k.
Maybe TWC (TimeWarner Cable) and SE just needs to contact each other or SE does something to help prevent this.

i keep reading about the NA servers being in canada is causing alot of routing issues for most NA players, while it is something SE could've fixed back then by having the servers in East and West coast, as it is now the lag and connectivity issues for NA are most likely beyond SE's control

Your talk of channels make me wonder: Are you using any kind of wireless connection? If you are that can cause any number of problems depending on the surroundings.

Yeah if your wireless then try using Wired. I had some lag when wireless but when I use Wired it helps it a ton.

Yes, I am wireless. But been thinking tonight, on how to get wired. I need to think this smart because the modem is in the living room, and that's two rooms over from my current room. And I am expecting a newborn within a few weeks. I can't have cords all over the place. lol

Also, I am not sure if I can even go wired. On my ISP account it says Wireless Interface. And Wireless: Enabled. However, there are areas in the modem that I can attach ethernet plug. Sorry, I am not tech savvy when it comes to this. But, if my account says that, is it still possible to go wired?

They probably picked the current location because originally it was for NA *AND* EU servers. Moving the EU servers actually to EU wasn't until a further 2 years later and having multiple data centres originally would likely have been a massive cost they probably didn't want to spend on a game that (as of 2.0 launch) had already cost them so much with so little back.

Take a look into "Powerline" adapters as they might be an option for you (they're common in Europe and I assume you have them in NA too!). Essentially you plug them in to your electrical wall sockets, one in each room and they use the electricity cables in the walls to carry the signal for you. You then only have to have a small piece of actual wiring each end (computer to wall and wall to router).

Yeah all modems should have a wired port in as standard. what you could do if you have a telephone port up stairs is to connect your modem to that so it can be closer to your set up or even in the room it self.
