Is ffxiv still an active game these days?

I was wondering, are there many active players on this game as there once were, last year or earlier this year (when I was last on actively), across the whole community?

The reason being, I'm hoping for new or experienced players for the fc I'm in charge of (for now anyway), as the former members (previous leaders), abandoned the game due to rl money issues assoicated with it, and have other games or other situations to be taken care off. I've posted a message on the Zodiark forum just in case.

The game is VERY active, but it depends on what you want out of the game since people play this game for many reasons. It also depends on your server and if the population there wants the same goals as you do.

Yes, it's still an active game.

FC recruitment is always difficult because these forums only represent a small fraction of active players, and in-game recruitment can be problematic. I mean randomly inviting people just annoys (I know because I get annoyed when playing alts), and random shouting is either annoying or ignored. The personal approach probably works best, which means having your members be ambassadors for your FC, and inviting others to join as they go.

Just make sure that your ambassadors know what your FC stands for, and what it's goals are, so no one feels somehow misled.
