The Twelve may not even be gods (Hell, depending on who you ask in this forum, Hydaelin may not even be a goddess herself). Bahamut is not a god. Bahamut is an Elder Primal (a Primal that was worshipped eras ago). As for why we fight Twintania in his non-rotting hand: His hand is a construct of aether, just as he is: Primals are aether and belief made flesh, Bahamut the Primal is kept "alive" by the prayers of Dragons kept in statis inside Dalamud.

The Ascians don't work for Bahamut. They work for Zodiark.

And lastly (since I don't know what you're getting into with your alst few points), Fantasy project? Creative Lore? Uhhhh, in this subforum we give our theories about what we think happened in the game's lore, we constantly look for what is canon, if I understand it right you're talking more about a "what if?" fanfiction (and we really need a fanworks subforum for that kinda thing). From what I understand, you base all your reasoning on the lyrics of "Answers", a song that was written for a different version of this game.
It is a beautiful song and it somewhat fit the theme of ARR so they made it work with the ARR story as well, but trying to take hints from it's lyrics is the same as people trying to determine which class we'll get with 4.0 by looking at Tanaka's planned classes.
It's a different dev, a different story, if anything overlaps, it's coincidence.

There is no "creative lore" to be had because the lore people at SE already explained the meaning of the song lyrics.
So yes, that song DID fortell the future - back in 2010/2011!! Then the things the song was about DID happen on 11th November 2012.
That's when the game shut down and Bahamut came down on Eorzea. ARR is the reborn world after that. Basically, all players nowadays are the "ones who walk after".
What happened to Louisoix, the 1.0 players, Bahamut - it was all explained in Coil, and if you did not understand it, well, that's your problem.
Others have again and again wrote exhausting explanations in this thread already, I won't do that again too.

But - again - that story is OVER.
It happened in 2012 and we got a bit of extra explanation in 2013 and 2014, but that's all. That was just explanations for something that ALREADY HAPPENED.
What you are doing right now is the same as reading the lyrics to a song from the 1930s nowadays that feared a war might happen soon with all the frustrations of the people, and then going:
"Oh, that song is totally right! We'll totally have a world war soon! That song fortold the future!"
Yes, it did. FOR IT'S OWN TIME. Which is long, long past from today's perspective.

I know it sucks to start a game 6 years after release and only now finding all this lore, but you'll have to accept that the "future" of the far-off past is still "past" for you and not the current future.
