    Recording the game

Hello. I have the following specs :

    Intel i5-6402P 2.8GHz Skylake,
    8GB DDR4,
    1TB HDD,
    GTX 970 4GB GDDR5.

I can record in 60-70 fps but the problem is I can't choose a good bit ate for 1080p60fps recording and uploading them to YouTube. I have tried multiple bitrates with Shadowplay from 150, 50 or even 30. They still end up pixelated.

Is there an optimal bit rate? or do I need to change to OBS ( if so, what settings should I use in it )

For me, that distortion occurs during the process of streaming to an online service (Twitch, in my case) but not when recording locally. So if you're doing the capture and upload as one step, you can try separating the two if that still suits your wishes.

Beyond that, given that Shadowplay uses Mb/s for its units, even that 30 is generous overkill for what should be top quality at 1080p60. Twitch doesn't even support beyond 3.5.

I record. Render. Then upload. You can try a different recorder; I just started using OBS (open broadcaster software); was using Action!
the video I dont render has a tendancy to be more pixelated then if I render it.

A blue mage must wrest her strength and vitality from her enemies. Show me your hunger for unrivaled power! This is the only guidance I shall give you."

Sadly at the rate youtube compress the video you won't have a crisp video.
The only way to really have a good quality video is to record using something like jpg motion or loseless but again, once encoded by youtube you'll end up with a pixelated video. And the more you move the more you'll notice it.
And lso shadowplay is not good enough for high quality videos since it records using VFR instead of CFR.
It also have some problems with chroma color

As the hardware encoding is just one pass or pseudo two pass, I do record it with around 50 mbit/s.

After the cut, I do recompress it with a real two pass encoder (x264) down to around 15 mbit/s. Thats still looking nice and saves alot upload time.

But yes. Youtube will recompress it again for all quality setting. So scenes with much action will get artifacts. But slow scenes are looking really nice. For example you can take a look into my video of the last event we had.
