    Changing to Steam?

I hope this is in the right place, sorry if it is not. This is my first time on the forum.

I play FFXIV ARR/HW via my PC, but I was wondering if it was possible to transfer over to Steam and play through my Steam game launcher? Or would I have to completely re-purchase my games in order to do so ?

SE list Steam as a separate platform and would need to rebuy the game if you wishing to have it as a actual steam game such and doing updates and stuff though it.

Easiest thing to do is just go into Steam and add it as a non-Steam game. If you wanted it on Steam just to count your playtime, you can use /playtime in game to do that.

But if you absolutely must have it fully integrated then you can either download the Trial from Steam or just buy it again on Steam (and don't use the code it gives you).

The actual download files are the same for both Steam and non-Steam (Steam only has the 2.1 download, all updates since then come from Square Enix). The only difference is the code used to activate the game flags your account internally as Steam or non-Steam. So please remember if you buy the game again on Steam just to integrate it fully into your library, please remember your account is still the non-Steam version and all expansions must be bought without Steam too. You can't change this.

But as mentioned above, it's a just a lot easier to add it as a non-Steam game.
