One can always dream- BRD edition

Making a separate thread due to the character limit.

Please consider only one of the suggestions.

    BRD- suggestion 1
    • Name changed to "Sniper Stance", "Sentry Stance", "Sentinel's Song", "Stalwart Ward," or something like that
    • Add a little accuracy bonus

    BRD- Suggestion 2
Iron Jaws becomes an oGCD usable without ties to any skill.
    Wanderer's Minuet...
    • Name is changed to "Sniper Stance", "Sentry Stance", "Sentinel's Song", "Stalwart Ward," or something like that.
    • Starts off with a 2-second debuff called "Losing Focus"; the debuff counter replenishes with any walking, jumping, or running.
    • After not walking, running, or jumping for 2 seconds, "Losing Focus" debuff disappears and is replaced with a semi-permanent buff called "Stalwart Mind"/"Commitment"/etc that increases damage dealt by 15% (no auto attack disabled).
    • Commitment gets lost if the character walks, jumps, runs, or gets knocked back.
    • Can be toggled with a 3-second CD at no cost, similar to Cleric's Stance
    • Empyreal Arrow requires the stance, but not the buff (yes, you can accidentally fire Empyreal Arrow without having the said buff in #3- hope you don't fumble on your hotbar!)

    BRD- suggestion 3

Wanderer's Minuet's name is changed to "Frenzied Minuet" and becomes a temporary buff with a cooldown, where for the duration...
    • Skill speed increases by 20%
    • Damage dealt is increased by 30%
    • Cast times are added for all Weaponskills
    • Auto attacks are disabled

Accompanying this, Empyreal Arrow and Iron Jaws no longer require Wanderer's Minuet, but still have cast times on their own

With the auto-attack delay of most bows, if you spam the GCD Weaponskills fast enough, you can see two of them fire one after another without an auto-attack occuring in between.
The auto attack delay reduction would adjust a BRD's auto-attack to the level of a PLD sword (albeit slightly higher), which is fast enough to consistently occur once every GCD.
Then the damage dealt by the auto attack itself is buffed- using approximately i220 on a 60 dummy as an example, this would bump auto attack damage to mid 800's.
On top of that you are almost constantly firing Heavy Shots, which do somewhere in the neighbourhood of 900~1100 (again, approximately i220 on a 60 dummy).
Slightly less than 2k per GCD as a baseline without the stupid cast bar is awful (again, i220 on dummy)?
Finally, add Bloodletter, Empyreal Arrow, etc.

They need to put the BARD back at Realm Reborn status. We should be able to move and shoot, that was easily one of the worst changes they made. They literally drove people away from the class. And all you need to do is change Wanderer's Minuet to this-

Wanderer's Minuet(Numbers can be tweaked as needed)-120 sec cd, 20 sec duration. Moves are now cast times. Loses auto attacks, 40% dmg increase.

So basically the same thing it is now except instead of being a permanent form, it would be a buff, or state you would go into temporarily. This would give Wanderer's Minuet something it has yet to have, excitement. People would actually be excited to use the move. "Sweet, I don't have to dodge aoe's for the next 20 sec, I'll hit WM and lay on the hurt". You'd keep everything that makes the Bard great and give people a reason to look forward to singing that song.

To me that seems the most straight-forward way to keep the idea of the move but not make it so intrinsic to the job.

Actually it would be to op with this since your going to be moving alot and still deal alot of dmg. I like brd Wm in 2.0 or Arr it was to op with movement and with wm status i like it. Now when i sync anything thats 50 its 100% boring.

Here are my suggestions for improving bard, and they all involve adding traits.

    Reservoir of Blood
Gain a stack of Reservoir of Blood whenever River of Blood activates when Bloodletter or Rain of Death are off cooldown. Using Bloodletter or Rain of Death with a Reservoir of Blood stack available resets the recast and spends a stack. Can hold up to two stacks.

Quicker Nock (yup, I want it brought back)
Using Wide Volley has a 15% chance that the next Quick Nock will cost 0 TP and be instant cast under the effect of the Wanderer's Minuet.

    Empyreal Efficiency
Using Empyreal Arrow has a 25% chance that the next Empyreal Arrow will have its TP cost and cast time reduced by 50%.

    Titanium Jaws
Using Iron Jaws has a 30% chance that the next Iron Jaws will have its TP cost reduced by 50%

    The Wanderer's Waltz
Adds reduced animation lock times on all archer, bard, and cross-classed actions and improved skill speed scaling on cast times to the Wanderer's Minuet.

Why do all these changes to make WM on a timer when you can just turn it off and back on whenever you need to?

^In its current form, WM has a 15-second wait before you can turn it off... and so does Empyreal Arrow. Speaking of which, thank you for an idea...
