I think it's a cute macro, but some people get a bit uppity too easy. I think maybe adjusted the text to something like "pls...dying is so 5 seconds ago", something that drives the humor forward a little bit more for the overly sensitive crowd.

Definitely.

A lot of raise macros, in particular, are pretty high up there, because they imply that it's always their fault that they died and they're stupid for it. And that's not really fair.

I once made someone really sad for having a Wash quote from Serenity with a raise macro.

But if it wasn't just a text macro... I don't enjoy being subjected to dick macros.

I used to have a funny macro, too. But it can get annoying if people keep on dying (such as Weeping City, etc) so I just have a simple Raising <t> macro mostly to inform the other healers that <t> is already being raised.
