Running weeping as whm and I'm fighting ozma. One of the adds killed my cohealer so I raised him.
My macro: "<t> pls....dying is lame. Casting (raise)!"
And he said "your macro makes me want to stay died"
I thought it was a joke so I replied with "that's the point"
Only to get a snippy "you died more than us" (which wasn't really true because I only died twice. I was doing more of the rezzing anyway lol)
Like...did I hit a soft spot? Lol. I'm so confused xD

People can't read tone through text, hence why they were offended. That's my guess at least.

I think it's a cute macro, but some people get a bit uppity too easy. I think maybe adjusted the text to something like "pls...dying is so 5 seconds ago", something that drives the humor forward a little bit more for the overly sensitive crowd.

Definitely.

A lot of raise macros, in particular, are pretty high up there, because they imply that it's always their fault that they died and they're stupid for it. And that's not really fair.

I once made someone really sad for having a Wash quote from Serenity with a raise macro.

But if it wasn't just a text macro... I don't enjoy being subjected to dick macros.
