is the dark knight that hard to heal at lvl 50-60 ...

Hi,I just hitted the lvl 60 with my dark knight and i really like his playstyle. I grinded all 3 tank jobs to lvl 45 and it was by far my favorite !! I had heard that the dark knight was the most fragile but i didnt really cared

when i reached the lvl 50 with my dark knight i didnt feel like i was so squishy because i was playing with 2 of my friends and they are both super good at healing but now because of my job i dont play alot with them and i started having some issues in the first main scenario dungeon when i was pulling everything till the first boss. I did that so many times when i was with atleast one of them and i never died once ... but now even by using every defenses buff i have,I die alot doing this .

i've also started to try bigger pulls in some lvl 50 dungeons like halatali hard, brayflox, but it seem that if i take more than 7 monsters healers let me die often ...

i've cleared brayflox today with my friends one was a scholar he told me to pull everything till the first boss and then pull everything till the 2nd boss i did i didnt died!!! he also told me that i was the most solid dark knight he has never seen !!


at lvl 60 i have the same problem i play with my friends everything goes well i can do some 7-8 monsters pulls without being afraid of dying but when i dont play with them i do exactly the sames pulls rotate my defense buffs the same way i even boost my dark dance and my dark passenger with dark arts to get the blind and the 20 % evasion buff then i heal myself with abyssal drain or souleater(boosted with dark arts too ) ...

so do you guys think the dark knight is just very weak at lvl 50-60 or im just super unlucky and i keep getting bad healers

Use more DA Abyssal Drain. Make sure you're rotating CDs on big pulls. If Reprisal procs put it on whatevers the biggest. If all that doesn't work, blame the DPS for not killing things quick enough. Usually people jump to blame the healer, but you only have so many CDs and if things aren't dying after they've run out then you're taking extreme damage with little mitigation.

Also gear. Gear helps a lot. Get a lot of that.

There are too many variables to account for, especially bad healers exist just the same way as the other roles. You can't just treat these people as the same and you do your own thing. Some groups can handle 3 sets of mobs easily, some can't. You can already see how the group fares based by the first few pulls, meaning that you will have to adjust. If the group kills the huge sets very slowly, the dps/healers aren't AOE-ing enough, this is where you need to adjust to pulling a few.

Personally I haven't encountered this problem too much due to the JP servers having better players in general. So if you don't want to adjust to the DF groups, you have better chance doing your thing with preformed groups.

Make sure you read the each skill because some of them get buffed and have extra skills with in a skill (skill-ception) when using with Dark Arts and Grit

Oh also about that thing about DRK being fragile is all BS. How that came around is when HW first came out DPS was jumping onto Tank roles not knowing how to tank and still doing big pulls not knowing how they should handle them.

Ok let's just assume all the DPS and healers are pulling there weight and it's just you.


CD management. Get Foresight and Convelence from WAR/PLD.

So this what I do. Use Shadowskin and Foresight, when that wears off use Shadow Wall and then Convelence with Dark Dance and if you want even more midgation DA + DP.
Just don't use it when blood price is on.

Also I use AD for AOE and CaS for more MP so I can spam AD more.

Your post can be missunderstood pretty fast, especially since some healers say that WAR and DRK are to hard to heal. Thats why i wrote this.
