You need to buy each part, make sure everything is compatible, put it together correctly, then go through the processes of OS installation. After that, you still need to tweak the settings for every game you install to run well on your rig.

Plus, buying prebuilt gaming PCs is much more expensive than buying a console unless you buy low spec items.

You don't need to do any of that for a console. The developer has done all that work for you. It really is just plug and play.

This doesn't even touch exclusives that only hit consoles.
Nope I didn't miss the ease part. I built my first PC blind. When you buy parts like the motherboard it tells you what memory stick, GPU and CPU it supports. You just buy what it supports. I may be a idiot, but I can read simple guides.

You don't need to tweak anything in games you install. last time I messed with game profiles with AMD was because the developer didn't support crossfire on fallout 4 and Witcher 3, but now they do. When I run games for the first time everything works fine. you make it sound like its really hard.

I saw an opportunity in PC with its fantastic games and endless free DLC (free mods). I made that jump into the unknown and now I have way more knowledge about PC than I ever did. I can help people like my family who also recently got into PC. when there's a product that out does another product 100 times better why buy the lesser one? Unless you financially unstable then that's understandable.

Playing this game at 144FPS blew my mind. Never have I ever experience such smooth camera rotation (I used 3 290x to achieve that, liquid cooled) playing at 70+ FPS is way better than PS4 30+ FPS (one 290x)

I managed to even disable that annoying windows 10 virus that told me I needed windows 10. Still on 7

I also got into graphic design and been drawing on the PC love drawing anime art. I cut my cable because I have a PC. Haven't watched TV since 2010. saved tons of money. I don't have to sub to PSN to play online games (not MMO's though, I know)

My point is PC is a win, if you are financially stable go for it. If your gonna tell me "its to hard, there's gonna be problems and I don't know what I'm doing" then fine stay in your bubble, pretend life is as good as it gets.

It's fairly straight forward to put a custom PC together as the slots and pins are labeled. But it's labor intensive and time consuming. And putting it together is just the first step. One assembled you must install Windows and set it up. Once installed you may still have to install various drivers which you must seek out yourself online. Then you must install the software or service that you will use to install games you wish to play (Steam/Origin/etc). And finally once the game is installed it may not run properly, or require you to make various adjustments before running properly. All in all it's a lot of work and time and a major pain in the ass.

That you are still using Windows 7 rather than Windows 10 illustrates how much a pain the installation process is. Unless you are using an illegitimate copy of Windows 7, I would suspect you didn't upgrade because the possibility of something going wrong during the upgrade process, forcing you to reinstall everything. Or perhaps you just thought it break things and felt it wasn't worth it. The point is, you didn't upgrade because you new it would require even more of your time and didn't do it because it's too much work and worry.

Tell me, am I wrong? Is it the PC moaning race.

Fine, I'll bite. If anyone's moaning, it's you. All you've mentioned in your can completed well within a day. Sure, it takes a few more hours than getting your console up and running, but that's expected. If you have a mid to high end build of the latest hardware, your game settings can be pulled straight to high/ultra. Some games will even detect your hardware and do it for you, or you can set a general preset. If your game doesn't run properly, turn some intensive settings down.

As for LalafellDown using Win7, it remains a VERY GOOD operating system and I understand him completely. I myself upgraded to Win10, so I can speak about the egregious bother it was to launch the .exe file and do something else for a little bit while the installation was running. I came back, expected some chinks, sorted them out over the next few days as they appeared and went on with it.

If you want something that resembles a bother, getting games to run under Wine on Linux can still lead to some frustration. Some games work all nice and dandy (FFXI is on the top of games working flawlessly out of the box), some requires mucking about in regex (FFXIV requires importing some keys provided on the Wine page to run and some more tricking to sort out headaches), some just refuse to work for whatever reason, and some work better if you use an older version of Wine. Have fun.
