Questions regarding Square Enix and PSN account

Hello, I have a question to ask, but first, let me explain the situation.

My sister will be moving soon and her and I both play FFXIV under my SE account. However, the problem is my SE account is under her PSN name. Since she refuses to leave her current character behind and start fresh in a new SE account, she wants to play FFXIV under my account while on a different PS4

Will she still be able to log in and play even though she's on a different PS4?

I don't why she couldn't she would just need to redownload it on the new ps4 and login with your account but SE frowns on people sharing accounts as I think it against the tos.

Yes as long as she logs into the PSN account that the game is registered doesn't matter what PS4 you use.

The thing is though, we tried that before and it didn't work. She logged into the PSN account on her bf's PS4 and tried to log into FFXIV, but the game wouldn't let her in because apparently it wasn't familiar with her bf's PS4 or IP(?). When I tried to log in (at home), the game said that due to some suspicious activity to my account, they had to block it, so I had to change the password in order to get back in.

It should work. I have tried this with my PSN and FFXIV. I went over my boyfriend's and logged my PSN into his PS4 and then logged into my SE account. I am able to play with his PS4, but what happens whenever I logged into his PS4 is that it clears all my saved gear sets and hot keys I have set to any hotbars. All my HUD settings also changes. Likewise, he is able to log with his PSN and SE account on my PS4 when he is over.

So I am unsure what happened with your sister's case. And yes, when my boyfriend and I tried logging into our own PSNs on each other's PS4s, we had to change passwords.

Transferring, selling or sharing an account is strictly prohibited. A Square Enix account should only be accessed and used by the original user. Account information should never be given to any other individual outside of your legal guardian, your minor child, or SQUARE ENIX.

Not sharing an account in this manner provides additional protection for the account from outside influences that may damage, alter or otherwise compromise the account.

Please note that sharing account information is also a violation of the Terms of Service (FINAL FANTASY® XIV User Agreement, Section 3.1). Sharing this account information can lead to disciplinary action being taken against the account.

I recommend separating those accounts. i.e., one of you has to start anew. You won't be able to play at the same time otherwise.

The issue you likely ran into before with logging in from a different location is that the IP was unknown. It locks your account to protect it in this scenario. Changing your password then allows you to log in from both known locations.

Only way to prevent getting locked out like that is to use a one time password but like other person said you couldn't both log in anyways.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you both play on the same PSN/SE account (2 characters on the same SE account tied to your sister's PSN account). If this is the case, one of you will likely need to start anew since you both can't be logged into the same account at the same time.

The problem will be deciding who start's anew since (as far as I am aware) you can not separate the SE account from the PSN account. (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

I'm not exactly sure what can be done about this situation. With luck, contacting support may get the accounts separated, but it still leaves one of you having to start over (in this case, your sister since the SE account is yours). I highly doubt they would be willing to transfer her character to a new account though. I would not get my hopes up for that.
