You know... I haven't ever thought about that. I checked against a video or two and those attacks have cast bars. Focus target would make them trivial.I'll remember that.
Edit: I don't think I really answered your question. I memorized the timings instead of relying on cues. It's the same way I manage enochian in my rotation.I wasn't sure exactly how to explain what I meant by timing in terms of bosses doing mechanics, so I just went and solo'd the boss in question to get a more concrete feel for it. While those attacks are randomized, Chimera pauses before attacking and lifts the head matching the type of attack he's about to do. As his HP drops he starts doing more attacks, but they are in a loose order that's predictable. Granted, this requires a lot more intuiton and effort than just watching for the cast bar on his HP bar, or focus targeting, but it did work just fine for me.
Honestly, that last part makes me facepalm a little bit because I really only started using focus target in heavensward when look away mechanics became more common.I think I have a little too much ping or brain lag that I probably would not have time to see the heads charge but that is really good to know. I honestly learned about Focus Target back in T5. Been using it ever since. I also mention it to newer people because PERCENTAGES. I LOVE THEM.
As much as it pains me... I bolded all of the relevant things you missed.![]()
To be honest I was a level 40 Archer when I first started the game. Until someone directed and told me about unlocking Bard. From there is when I really stated to dig deeper for more information. So don't complain because it will not help you. Some might not have friends or FC so they know nothing. Giving advice is better than complaining.
"BAAAAAARD!" - 2018
Oh, I never bought any gear when leveling, I used what I got from quest rewards. Like I said, that gear was usually 5 levels below my own when I first got it. By the time I got a new upgrade, the level difference was even greater. For MSQ dungeons this wasn't much of a problem since I always outleveled those by 5 levels anyway, although I'm sure some people checked my gear and thought I was an idiot. Side quest dungeons were unlocked right away, however, since those were usually picked up from old zones (like Ul'dah).
for some of us I am one of those, even if we see it doesnt mean we actually can avoid it. Latency you know. I for one deal with that since forever so I warn the hearler that I will be hit because I cant make it out on time or not always, generally I keep my CDs (strongest at that ) for that purpose. So yeah, if players had some consideration for their fellow co-player they would work together rather then kick, demean or what not, and overcome that handicap together, but alas, this is far to be the case in this so called community.
I agree with Dumbledorem, practice makes better, practice also shows you what is not working and why but practice requires lots of failures and people dont want to fail or fail together with the one having the problem...(sometimes is the player the problem I agree)
