Help with story mission please

Hi. So I have just last week started playing again, after a break of a year and a half. However one of the reasons I stopped before is I got totally stuck on a mission called "History repeating". It's on a beach and these floating orbs always seem to kill me while I'm taking out the skeletons. My main is a lvl 46 dragoon, and I do pretty well in other combat situations, but I really struggle with this. Anyone else had this or got any advice, or us it just me being pants?

sounds like the battle with the sirene...use potions and selfheals, run from the bubbles, try to fight away from the bubbles, don't worry, the skeletons will follow you...

Also note that these solo main quest type battles grant you The Echo (increased HP, damage, etc.) if you fail repeatedly, making it easier and easier each time you fail (starting with the third attempt). So should this recur, don't give up! =)
