A weird phenomena - Are bots magicians?

I've been standing around the entrance of the Gridanian market when suddenly around 10-11AM I've witnessed something strange.

Does anyone have any explanation for this?

They probably are teleporting but not in the way normal players do.

The teleporting isn't the weird part. The weird part for me is how did they get lvl 50 + gear.

Teleporting underneath a boss in a dungeon, shooting it down from below the ground without taking damage and getting the loot? I've also seen bots do quests and consider it only a matter of time until they manage to have a script for the MSQ trials.

That reminds me of the experience I had in Balmung back in 4th of July after the server broke. We had a lot of bots running through Ul'Dah and "fell underground".

They showed up again a few mins later and disappeared under ground again.

It looks like they can teleport anywhere on the map and just appear where they need to.

It is probably a hack but be careful about calling someone a bot in other cases just because they vanish. Remember if someone else in party teleports they just have to accept, so it's not always a sign of botting. As for how they'd get gear, dungeons aren't exactly hard.

If you accept someone else's teleport you don't have the whole "hovering in the air for a few seconds"-thing, but you still have the teleport animation with the ripple effect when teleporting away.
These bots just instantly vanish. Well, although sometimes, I still see their names below ground, or if I pay really close attention, I see them flying up in the air super fast (no, not with a mount..xD).

Screenshots are not admissible, but with the time/date/location/names and any other helpful details, the OP can file a report for GM's to look into their logs. Then the bots can join the list when the ban wave happens.
