People selling EU Promotion codes on Ebay

    Hello folks !

Seems like some people are selling EU Promotion items codes on Ebay for ridiculous prices.

Apparently they go to Meltdown bars, take codes and well them for a premium and I don't know how to feel about it.
On one side I think that's an bs move to ask that much money ( +/-80€ ) but on the other side it's the only way for some people to even get a code ...

What do you people think about this ?
    You think that's okay ?

That's not okay at all, and it's not worth it. Especially at that price. o.o

Resale of these item codes is strictly prohibited.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the best you could do is to report these to ebay themselves.

    EDIT: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...s-coupons.html

Coupons for "free" products: You can't sell coupons for "free" products. This restriction includes coupons for free items, or coupons where the coupon holder buys a quantity of items at one price, and receives additional items for free.
Report away, ebay already prohibits this shit.

Its against ToS but I doubt SE could find out who sold/bought them like this.

Personally I wouldnt even consider paying that much for virtual items. when I saw the prices of the magazines my first thought was "lol nope".

So if people want to spend that much, let them I say.

Someone else on there is selling the magazine. They might get away with it that way.

As someone living in the Czech Republic, yeah we are in Europe too, I would not mind this were the codes sold for reasonable price.

And even the codes being overpriced it's still at least a realistic option to get the items and way more accessible.

Definitely not okay. Considering someone is buying from a third party/unknown source, they could risk falling for the fake/used code scam.

Well...skimming through the big thread it seemed like some people were getting magazines without a code anyway, so... >.>

Reminds me of when Mass Effect 3 was released and there were codes for specific ingame content (different armor/weapons)... Same deal then as here, people selling them on Ebay for crazy amounts...

.... saw a Inferno Armor code for sale for $340 AUSD...

All this, is against TOS... but the unscrupulous will do it to get what they can... and the gullible buy it up.

It is definitely breaking the rules of both SE and ebay, but on the other hand... Some people can't get them themselves. The EU promotion doesn't even cover all of Europe, and the EU playerbase (meaning the people with EU accounts) don't even all live in the EU. I've got someone from South Africa in my fc. There's no way to legally cover all the countries players that might really want those codes reside in. So I get that they are being sold, it's the only way to get them for some.

    Called it.

Seems like it's only 15€ shy of my guess.
