How do you emote without showing the text again?

Ok, so I made all these custom emotes along time ago and wanted to recreate them, but stupid me can't remember how you do the actual emote without saying "John Doe does an emote."

In the emote menu there's a box that can be checked that makes the emote text not appear in the chat log.

You can also type the emote you want to use '/emote motion' and that will make you emote without making the text appear on chat.

"Dirty Paws does a backflip"

/em does a backflip

Emote with no text

/wave motion
/beckon motion
/cry motion
