Furniture grid system is driving my OCD crazy

Seriously, is it just me or does anyone else experience their furniture move by themselves?

I spent half an hour yesterday trying to align several tables into a large dining table. And when I'm finally done and satisfied, I leave the house and come back only to find some of the table have moved slightly and ruins my whole design.
So I was like, OK, maybe the furniture location can only be specified to a certain degree in the game code. I turn on the grid system and hoping that this time everything will work out. Even though the grid is freaking huge and really hard to work out the design I want, I managed to come up with something. And guess what, they still moves slightly once you re-enter the house.

What's the point of the grid if the furniture doesn't even follows it after reload? And not to mention sometimes you can't even to get it aligned at all with the grid. It's like each furniture is on it's own individual grid.

I hope this is just a bug and SE can fix this or it will drive my OCD crazy. On second thought I should probably just submit a bug report and see what SE will do about it.

One of my friends was complaining about a flower vase that was doing that exact thing. I can't say I've experienced that yet but I guess it's real. Hopefully it gets fixed and doesn't "fix" our ability to do the wall hacks for things that aren't allowed, like hanging banners and putting up pictures on surfaces that won't allow it.

It is not just you unfortunately. It happens a lot when the grid is off, but has a little bit of "wiggle" room even with the grid on. It would be gratifying if SE could fix it.

    Yeah, it's crazy.
I built several furniture pieces that allow me to sit on them and it was really hard to get it to the point where there is no clipping...
...and once I left the house, it suddenly was clipping through my legs again and when I was just utterly confused, a friend told me:
"Oh yeah, that's normal. Furniture moves a bit on it's own".

SE, please dispell the poltergeist in our homes .-.
But please please don't ruin the floating furniture trick.
I'd rather have my furniture move on it's own than being horribly restricted in my creativity ._.

What I find funny is people saying "fix this item A but don't fix this item B"

It's more of a "fix system A because it sucks but don't fix system B because even if it's technically broken as well, that's actually working 100% like players want it to work and we fear that you might 'fix' it as well when you are fixing A"

In a well designed system, you wouldn't have to worry about not being able to put things where you want.

This is especially frustrating with partitions. You log on to find that one of your walls is an ilm closer than the one next to it, or suddenly there's a gap between them.

Whenever I'm moving furniture around I make sure to exit the room/house and then return. Where you see it when you return is where it actually is (and where you will always see it unless you make further adjustments). Sometimes it takes several attempts to get things just right - often on stubborn pieces I find that I have to overcompensate with my initial placement (e.g. shifting an item further to the left than I actually want it to be) just so the furniture will shift to where I actually wanted it once I zone out and back in.
