Too many naked People in Idyllshire already, I doubt this will happen, the only thing you would see with this Feature is that People would be naked with destroyed Gear.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Agreed, but like the poster I was replying to, the likelihood of actual damage being shown is nigh on impossible due to having to remake every piece of gear. I though the idea of it getting dirty, faded or rusty (depending on the material the gear is made of) would be a reasonable compromise.

So long that you can't spend 10 seconds to get it repaired. You life must be so very busy... ;D

Making other models will be impossible. They could use some overlay effects to make the gear seem dirty and rusty. Don't know if they want to do something like that although I would prefer them to fix the shadows on the DX11 client.
SE could do the smart decision to not allow bikinis to be damaged because there's nothing to damage that will keep this game rated T.
The better decision would be to make body damage when wearing a bikini and possibly just making the bikini itself dirty.

Or make the character can be more vulnerable compared to people not wearing bikini or trunk shorts/speedo.
While an interesting concept, It would require more resources than it would be worth. I'd rather more armor models, than variants of existing ones

This would be cool if we had things like tatoos, scars, and other marks but the customization for characters in this game is kinda lame imo. Ya ya memory limits or w/e. I'll believe that excuse when they actually explain it in detail.

I'd like that idea. Too much resources some say but I don't see anyone complaining about the squadrons or the little miqote girl book of w/e's being a waste of resources. So, we all have been through great battles with god-like foes. though it's kinda weird that we come out of the fight unscathed. our skin without a single scratch and our gear in perfect condition (at least in appearance). so i was thinking maybe damaged versions of gear could be added. say you have your beautiful gear at 100% condition, and that when it reaches a 50% condition it would change into a damaged version of the same with maybe some damage on our character's body! it would be cool in my opinion. making our characters look less "extremely overpowered".
Anything increasing immersion is cool by me. /like
