    Script Error

For the past couple days I haven't been able to open the launcher because whenever I do I get a script error. I've been logging in almost daily before this and never encountered a problem. I've looked online to try to find a solution but have gotten nothing that helps. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game through Steam.
    The screen says:
An error has occurred in the script on this page
    Line: 19
    Char: 2
    Error: 'Global' is unidentified
    Code: 0
    Url: http://frontier.ffxiv.com/version_3_...=2016-09-03-22

Then if I click to continue running scripts on the page it takes to a black screen.
Can anyone help me with solutions, I would really like to get back to playing this game.

Close the launcher, then load up Internet Explorer (even if you use a different browser normally) and then go into the options, and then delete browsing history. Specifically you need to delete "Temporary Internet files and website files" and make sure that "Preserve Favorites website data" is NOT ticked (because if you have a bookmark to any finalfantasyxiv.com page it won't delete the cached data you're trying to delete).

The launcher is essentially a mini Internet Explorer website and if the IE browser cache is corrupted you can get this, but the few times I've had it, clearing the cache always fixes it

You might need to clear the cookies as well (same delete page, and clear the browser history again at the same time just to be sure). Be warned though if you do clear the cookies (and you use Internet Explorer as your browser) it'll log out you of any sites that you were logged into. If you don't use IE though it won't affect you/don't worry about it.
