    Skill/Spell sound effects are definitely lacking in FFXIV, I feel most of them sound too tame or generic and don't really pack much oomph when paired with the visual effects.

    Exactly. Most attacks look cool but sounds really boring. Almost all i ever hear is the weird "shhhh-thud" and thats really boring imo.
