FFXIV in Dissidia

Ok, I know myself and many others out there love dissidia, and even more loved the characters they added with the second game. Though some characters I would of loved to see over many others, and was fairly disappointed to see that FF14 was not represented. I understand that at the time the game was just kicking off, but I would of loved to see something from it. Hopefully though SE will not shun FFXIV and its bad reception and keep it out of dissidia.

With that said onto my main point! As hopefully most of you all enjoyed(at least I hope you did) the story of the game thus far and probably have you favorite heroes, and not to forget, your favorite villains! And with that in mind I would love to see what you all think SE should add to dissidia in the ways of FFXIV characters and their fighting styles.

(I know I would love to finally see a miqo'te or at least some other none human)

Too early to say which character(s) would be the 'representative character' from FFXIV, especially with the way the plot is currently being overhauled. (I know I'd be cheering for Y'shtola, so far, though~)

They did it with XII in the first game (well, if you consider Gabranth a bad guy, which is debatable) so why not XIV?

This. I highly disagree with Yoshi-P when he mentioned all the current characters are too 'weak' for Dissidia.

Gaius has people wanting him in Dissidia since someone first uploaded a video of "Zulvan" on youtube. Even people that hate FFXIV wanted him on Dissidia. I've seen people posting on some random forums stuff like "wow, I saw this video on youtube and I really want this guy on Duodecim, even tho I never touched FFXIV or XI!".

Indeed, putting him as a character on another game, be it next Dissidia, a Duodecim DLC, Theatrhythm, whatever,would be a very good marketing strategy, specially if they do that around 2.0 launch.

The character is not very developed at this point? After what they did with the like of Onion Knight (that had little to no story or personality on the original game), they can circumvent that issue just fine. If done after patch 1.23 (that will add the legatus battle), even his abilities will no longer be a "spoiler".

TL;DR: Gaius on Dissidia. Now.

Gaius van Baelsar, and Nael van Darnus are both good candidates for bad guys.

I think all the good guys are too weak right now so I cant decide.

I'd like Papalymo to be in another Dissidia installment. I have Duodecim though, and I can say this: There's very little they can do with the plot now. I won't spoil it for you, but they've pretty much written it up and incorporated the first into it to make a complete story as it is now...unless of course they go back even FURTHER in the story or make some sort of legitimate sequel where they reunite by happenstance...or something like that.

this was already discussed in the first live interview.
they were asked why there wasnt a 14 representative in the second dissidia and they said it was because they do not feel the game has a solid hero or villain worthy of representing the game yet.
i personally thought it to be odd because of the red and black Darth Vader guys already in the game but it did come directly from Yoshis mouth.
they want to wait until 2.0 to flesh out some real characters to be proud of.

I think that one of the Garlean Leaders has to be in Dissidia. They look Fearful and Awesome, Powerful at the same time =)
