    Well that's just tab target-based MMOs for you, it's not possible to avoid being targeted as long as someone has selected you.

    To my knowledge, the functionality that people were abusing in regards to /facetarget was spamming it via macro or something to enable you to run at full speed in any direction while facing your target. I remember seeing a video of a WAR in A4S running backwards at full speed, toward the camera, but never having to turn around which meant he appeared to be backpedaling at full speed.

    Technically if you want to run backwards and maintain autoattacks you can already do this with some strafing and camera work already, but I guess it made it too easy; plus it also messed with melee positionals I imagine, like running away from a NIN in PvP without ever showing your back to him.
