I recall they opted out of adding Cloud's motorcycle for the reasons that ground mounts move so slowly that it looked weird and they are against adding any new mounts that don't fly.

Which is unfortunate. Other than the shoopuf from FFX, I can't really think of anything else that could get added as a throwback mount besides that motorcycle, since every game uses chocobos.

I am not sure whats so bad about veteran rewards? Anyone can get them if they play long enough, everyone has the same chance and its not limited..And if someone joins in three years and its known that the game only will last another year or so than it shouldn't be much of a concern that they would not get all rewards since the game would not exist anymore..

I like the system. I was really happy to get the Nanamo minion as a reward or the behemoth mount. All the latest ones are only costume..so if someone only plays because he wants that costume they would probably not stay long enough anyway. And if you enjoy the game than sooner or later you will get to it.

@Yukiko: How exactly are we looking down on new players? They have the same chance as us to get them..its not like they get more expensive as times goes on (like 720 days for it first and later you need double the time..) or are only available if you started at a certain date. Yes they are there to keep people playing..but I am quite sure that there is only a small minority that only starts a game or keep playing it to get a certain costume. And at least those rewards don't cost us more money..but maybe we should but them all in the mog station . So newer players can buy them if they have the money. Or even better, have no rewards at all .

I find this system 100% better than all those minions that people will never get because they were limited...these are the ones that are bad for any new player, since they would never get them..thats way more worse than any veteran reward can be.

In the end, would I be against a system were you will get some tokens which you could trade in for prices of your choice? No! But they also should make sure that not everything can be bought after 3 months of playing.

Personally, I think these items should be implemented as achievement rewards rather than veteran rewards. I respect the idea of gifting players who have stuck around, but why not gift the players who play? Hell, do as others have suggested and give chocobo feathers to subscribers after a certain amount of subscription days purchased periodically. But stop making these amazing items gated behind a set and harsh timeframe. Just my two cents.

They have recently been implementing the ability to store veteran rewards right after release in the Armoire, so that's something... but I agree ;-; we need more storage if they're giving us more items.

oh good to know. I think at some point they HAVE to give us more storage because from day 1 to the next expac...i...i just cannot keep anymore cool stuff!!! It becomes much more problematic as they add new classes.
