    For the new healing class...

    Please make a healing class that is only dedicated to healing/buffing/debuffing!!

    AST is close, good job, so something along those lines, without the RNG.

    (Plus I do not want to unlock other classes to play it, so AST was also a good job in terms of that!)

    And no melee healer nonsense please. Only ranged, preferably very long range.

    A class with this restriction would not be viable in the MSQ. Without the ability to damage, the player using this class could never complete MSQ as it.

    For balance purposes it's pretty much a given that the new healer will have to be competitive with SCH, the 'DPS healer'. Soooo I wouldn't get your hopes up.

    3 things i want to ask the OP

    1) rng in the ast... Did you really heal with it ? No rng involve, only card got that and it's minor because optionnal
    2) no class unlock... If you play the ast without black mage and white mage up... How are you playing ? XD
    3) what's the point of a ranged healer when we, as healer, should be as close as possible of melee range (auto attack, pack healing,...)

    A pure healing class is unfeasible, given that classes need to have some form of dealing damage outside of auto-attacks to get solo quests done in a reasonable amount of time.

    Debuffs might work if they deal damage (think like FFXIII's Saboteur role). Otherwise, I can't anticipate that anyone would want to pick it up as opposed to WHM or SCH, unless the debuffs increase damage dealt/reduce damage taken by a lot (enough to make up for the lack of damage), which risks making it so that they're seen as essential.

    Well if it is a new class, this would be only unlocked at later stage. And every MSQ after this stage would have NPCs dedicated for this class to heal to complete it.

    That sounds like a very bland and boring idea just to avoid the fact that a healer with 0 DPS options is horrible. If SE ever did make A non-DPS healer no one would want them in statics or extreme content unless their buffs and debuffs are hilariously overpowered.

    A zero DPS healer also sounds incredibly boring to play in faceroll content. They'd also be unable to solo an undersized duty.

    you need a few attack spells or youre sol out of all content besides raids, if the group would even take you...
    you dont need the redundancy of whm's or blm's many spectacular stones or thunders, but you still need to be able to kill mobs besides auto attacking. Not giving them redundantly replacable skills like thunder or stone would give more slots for healing. but really,
    what is your major point by stating this? what would you even put on top of the replacement skills for redundancy?

    like are you saying you want them to have many buttons like mch that debuff, in replacement of skills that could damage? or you think itd be nifty to stand back and pop 10 weak cooldowns on the tank in toto=rak just cause it means youre a healer and youre-a healin'?
