I'll give you this, at least you are understanding that your house isn't there anymore and seem like you agree with the reason behind it. It would be nice if they kept that data for longer though. Maybe it's more of an incentive to get people to re-sub. You know it's likely possible since they kept your character info. What lot did you have anyway?
