Display Config issue: Upon every login, game is not appearing in correct display mode

Display Configuration issue: Upon every login, game is not appearing in display mode of “Borderless Windowed”, despite it being set to that, and is instead appearing in a window (see temporary/partial fix)

    Time: Current
    Frequency: Since patch 3.3
    World name: Diabolos
    Character name: Game Over
    Retainer name: N/A
    NPC name: N/A
    Monster name: N/A
    Class/Level: N/A
    Party or solo: N/A
    In-game time: Any
    Area and coordinates: Any
    Housing: N/A
    Steps:
    1. Logging in to the game for the first time in 3.3 I noticed my game opened in a window. I went to settings, and it was still set to “borderless windowed” with the same resolution setting I had before, but was showing up as a bordered window of that resolution.
    2. Temporary/partial fix: I changed the setting to “full screen” and then back to “borderless windowed”, and it fixed itself for the duration of my play session.
    3. However, now every time I log on it repeats the problem in step #1, and I must change the setting to either “windowed” or “full screen”, then change it back to “borderless windowed” again for it to stay that way. Then once I close the application and then re-open it again the next time, same thing all over again.
    4. I updated graphics drivers as well as my monitor driver just in case that may have been causing a conflict, but neither had any effect on the issue. I have also tried changing the setting on the login screen instead of just in game but it doesn't make any difference either.

Upon logging in, even though I had the config set to "borderless windowed" last I logged out:

Here you can see that "borderless windowed" is already selected (note the grayed out "Apply" button), yet the game is still in a window:

Then once changed to either "full screen" or "windowed" and then back to "borderless windowed" again, the game runs completely as it should in a borderless window, until I close the application and re-open it again:

yeah I'm having the exact same problem and have had it before after a patch I had to go in and reinstall client to fix it last time I'm going to try and wait to see if I can find a different way this time though cause that was a pain

I'm hoping I won't have to reinstall, this should certainly be something they look at and fix. This never happened to me pre-patch 3.3.

I re-installed the game yesterday to see if that would fix this issue, but no changes have been seen. The game still boots in windowed mode even though it is set to borderless windowed. I know of multiple people who also have this issue, so hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Last night's maintenance seems to have fixed the issue. My game now boots up in the correct display mode.
