I wouldn't be so sure. A process like that doesn't exactly leave the beast in good shape. And the many Chimera across Eorzea could just be from all the ones that were made, not just a new species that is reproducing.This... actually isn't true. Chimeras aren't infertile and that is why they also haven't been hunted to extinction. Well, that and they're extremely dangerous creatures. Chimeras have a breeding population, not just in Azys Lla, but across Eorzea. If I had to take a guess, baby chimera (chimera cubs?) look like lion cubs, but with their extra features scaled proportionately.
