Mannequins

Hello everyone !!

Well, we all have stuff which are rotting in the bottom of our sideboard or again in our servants' inventory ! We don't really need them because they are useless and they take a lot of places but we don't want to get rid of them because we still love these things !

Moreover, a lot of people have empty places in their houses or just not enough decorations !

I was thinking that we might probably get some mannequins ! Yeah !! The mannequins such as thoses we see in the clothes shops or jewelers !

This way, we might look at our stuffs that we like (our artefacts or our seasonal items for instance ...) everyday and we give them a second life ! And the house has also another decoration !

What do you think of this idea ?

One of the latest interviews brought up the subject of mannequins. They are on the the "to-do" list, however, I would not get your hopes up.

Yoshida said that Mannequins were expensive to develope and mentioned them in the same breath with FC primal summoning. AKA we will probably never see Mannequins...

Yoshida: We decided to shelve this for the moment. We have decided on the specifications a long time ago, but due to cost problems we have spent our development time on the recently announced aquarium and apartment system. But since it's in our task list we'll get to that eventually.

Actually its more likely an XI reference, and this would be nice but for now you may want to look into expansion of duties permits.

EverQuest 2 did this.

It was pretty much amazing.

1. It cleared wasted inventory space
2. It really adds a pop to your home decor. You can literally see a progression from darklight gear all the way up to the current armors

While a mannequin furnishing would be appreciated, I'd like to see a way to set a post for my retainers inside the house, in a manner similar to the outdoors Expansion of Duties Permit. They can already wear gear and serve other useful functions besides, so why not let them stand around indoors?

Otherwise, being able to change the gear of Junkmongers, Menders and other various Permit NPCs would be nice.
