Class changing, are we unique?

You know, I've always wondered about the SCH job abilities, which it seems the Leveilleurs can cast as well. More specifically, Sacred Soil, and it looks like they can cast a far more powerful version of the spell (lasts for longer than 15 seconds and actually completely blocks attacks as opposed to letting 90% of them through). Although the only time I've ever seen any of them use it is to block Bahamut's attacks. Still, their Sacred Soil seems far more effective than ours.

Man, even when we're special, the Leveilleurs are even more special than us!

Considering they studied in a very prestige school, it shouldn't be too surprising.

To be fair, many of our job abilities are unique to us (whether we started their use or rediscovered them); Blood of the Dragon and its abilities are entirely new, for example (actually, I think Battle Litany is as well), and right now we're the only one who can use the Dreadwyrm Trance. Scholar abilities are also our own for now, we're the only one able to channel tier IV black magic, and so on.

Not true. A few job abilities are used by NPCs and enemies as well. Presence of Mind is used by the Kobold NPC during the Black Mage LV45 quest, Fire IV is used by zombie Black Mages in Lost City of Amdapor (Hard) and Weeping City, and Holy is used by zombie White Mages in the lost city as well.

I didn't say all were unique to us (I mean, we learn White magic from other White Mages...). And the zombie BLM are, well, zombies.

Yes, but I'd thought all the SCH job abilities were forgotten abilities that we only knew about because of our job stone/fairy. Although oddly enough, Louisoix has been called a scholar, but whether or not that's actually the same thing as a SCH, given that he can cast Sacred Soil, is the question. And presumably the twins are ACNs.
