We Need Glamour GearSets

All these are good options I just hope they acknowledge the obvious oversight. For me Glamour is my end game content lol. I was discussing this on facebook and someone said that SE said they were not going to do Glamour gearsets because they would have to completely overhaul the gear system...

Even if that is true, SE needs to get it into gear then. Practically every MMO has some sort of glamour set feature. In fact, we already have one with our retainers. Just utilize the same idea; separate character menu can be brought up and any gear worn there overrides the look of your otherwise equipped gear.

Retainer data is saved differently and in a different place than character data.

When you call up a retainer you are calling up an individual retainer linked to your character but not stored with them. The character data of a character with 0 retainers and 12 retainers is the same. Each time a new retainer is created a new section in the retainer database is partitioned and then linked to the creating character.

What you are asking for is an addition of 12 new limited use inventory slots to every character.

I've been barking up this tree for a while; I play both AST and WHM and I often glamour an outfit to match a (new) weapon and sometimes what looks good on one just doesn't look right on the other. If glamour could be assigned to an entire job/class rather than the gear, this might be some sort of solution.

Asking for more gear not to be designed for cross-class (which I'm willing to bet only future job AFs will have, now that PvP gear shares roles now too) will be reasonably met with stiff opposition about inventory/armory bloat.

Not just inventory/armory bloat, but also less gameplay options. Cross options allow you to gear all your healing jobs at the same time, so you only need a unique weapon for each to play them at the same level. If you segregate it, you suddenly have a steep performance loss when switching to another healing job and you need to gather an entire set again.

Just want to say this real quick, FFXI (you know that other mmo SE runs) has gear sets in it and all you have to do is hit the lockstyle option in the menu and bam whole glamour done. Could bring thatlockstyle function over to 14 since we have gear sets already.

Yes please can we have this D; I know it seems silly.. but my White mage and AST isn't as geared as my Scholar simply because they would have all the same glamour... and its not like you can run around with three sets of identical gear in your bags cause you know.. we can't expand armory bag space. >.>

Players have been asking for this for a long time. Anything that they implement in regards to it would be an improvement. The way the system works now is just plain boring. There are so many games that have awesome systems for glamor so I don't buy the reasons listed above as being valid. If SE wants to do it they sure can come up with something. Something as simple as a wardrobe slot just like we have armor storage they can do the same it does not have to be anything crazy but I have so many different looks I have gone through with my guys and I like them all but I can only have one that display at all times, that is ridiculous.

Exactly! Maybe they are working on it quietly and plan on releasing it in the next expansion.

We need this!. I'm pretty much forced to either make glam that every Tank would look good in or focus on playing one Tank.
