All he did was queue a dungeon, finish it then queue again....
he didn't talk with us until the end, just like all of us nowadays: Don't speak with others, DF for something then go offline....
I've sent him a /tell: "Mr.Yoshi please make FFXIV more like FFXIV 1.2x/FFXI, less like WOW {Thank You}!"
lol forgive me...

You wasted no time pushing your agenda on the poor guy.All he did was queue a dungeon, finish it then queue again....

FYI: There's a reason the game isn't like 1.X or FFXI anymore.

A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

Yeah, no wonder you didn't get a response. One of the main issues with FFXIV 1.x was its gameplay. And the prolem with the gamewplay was EXACTLY that it played too much like FFXI - An obsolete, outdated style of gameplay. The only people who liked FFXIV 1.0s gameplay was people who came from XI and found it familiar. Everybody else (the vast majority) hated it with a passion.
Making FFXIV more like WoW was Yoshi-Ps MAIN idea - And it WAS EXACTLY THAT what saved FFXIV from oblivion. The MAIN difference between 1.0 (failure) and 2.0 (sucess) was the very thing you suggested to him. He must have raised an eyebrow and maybe giggled a little at your ludicrous suggestion.

I am sure that it was more that Yoshi is incredibly busy, and is unable to respond to everyone who messaged him. I am sure LiaShan was not the only one.Yeah, no wonder you didn't get a response. Had LiaShan been the only one, Yoshi seems like a respectable guy that would probably give it a well reasoned answer. While I don't always agree with Yoshi's reasoning, I cannot deny that he is a rational guy.

Come to think of it, it's not hard to imagine he just turned off /tells in his chat window.

I've sent him a /tell: "Mr.Yoshi please make FFXIV more like FFXIV 1.2x/FFXI, less like WOW {Thank You}!"
lol forgive me...I can't imagine why.All he did was queue a dungeon, finish it then queue again....
he didn't talk with us
How incredibly rude, I wouldn't want to log on to meet players either if this were the sort of thing I was greeted with.

Can't stress this enough. This 100% can be read like "Hey, you know the CORE of your idea to revamp FFXIV? the very thing that saved this game? I hated it, plz change it back"

To be entirely fair, I doubt he responded to more or less any /tell comment. I'm assuming he probably got an insane amount of /Tell messages, enough that he probably wouldn't respond to any in detail...if at all. Still, it's pretty cool some people got to chat/dungeon with him. It's pretty rad to hang out with a director of a game like that, especially considering how busy all of them are working on the new expansion. It's sometimes the fun, little things that can really mean the most to players. All he did was queue a dungeon, finish it then queue again....

Let's probably avoid turning this into a "FFXI/FFXIV 1.0 is BETTER" thread. That's far too dangerous of a topic to get into. Some players prefer different things. Some (such as myself) prefer the more movement/mechanic heavy combat of ARR, others prefer the slower-paced combat of FFXI. Let's just leave it at that.![]()
