Vote Abandon should be removed

Or at least require a 75% (or higher) "Yes" vote to go through.

Why should half of the 24-man alliance be able to kick the other half out, thus making us wait 20+ minutes for another queue, on top of the 30+ minutes we spent in the raid anyways? If people don't like how things are going, they can leave, and be replaced.

With how people are still so bad at Weeping City, at least half of the groups I go in get Vote Abandoned, when people should of just left.

And in my experience, the people bringing up the Vote Abandon (or leaving because it didn't pass) are usually the problem, anyways.

While its not very useful in say, 24 man raids, It has its uses elsewhere, where its actually needed. The problem with weeping city is that people go in and do the bare minimum amount of work and that leads to problems when people fail to do mechanics or forget about them and cause wipes. Either way, it shouldn't be removed, and the required number of people shouldn't be increased, its fine as is, and will effect what its used for in other content to avoid getting penaltys.

All I know is that it is luck of the draw but nowadays it seems that more and more people get in on WC runs that do not have a clue as to how it works and it is becoming a royal pain to find a good group anymore. And the vote system does require a certain percentage so if most people feel like it is time to bail then maybe it is a blessing, I would rather wait 20 more minutes than spend a real long and painful hour to just keep wiping and having ZERO fun

It would be nice to see who initiated it and who voted with yes or no.

Most of the time, there is only one person who wants to abandon it, while most other people still wants trying to clear it.

I am pretty sure if you kick someone, you still take the penalty if you leave. In fact, I am almost certain of it.

No you won't. If you leave a group that is not full, you don't get a penalty, did this often enough.

And i don't think vote abandon should be removed because sometimes it is just not possible to clear something with the group that you have. But i agree with Cait that it would be nice to see who started the vote.

I'd rather they implement a fix to Vote Abandon spam similar to how they had to adjust Ready Check since it too was being spammed when it was first implemented.

Got in a Weeping City run last night/early this morning where aside from minor mishaps we were doing okay. But someone insisted on hitting Vote Abandon every time between fights. So yeah, there really needs to be a once-per-instance limit on it or something. I also remember one time someone had the gall to initiate it at the same time as a Ready Check was being done, attempting to fool people into hitting "Yes" on the abandon when they were going for "Yes" on the Ready Check.

More like a once per 3-5 minutes is more like it, this way it can't be spammed, but it can keep its intended use.

Well what about this: Instead of having the vote to abandon run, we could have a vote to remove the leave penalty for few minutes.

We already have players waiting to be kicked sometimes, so with this we would be able to excuse them - or not :P
