    Ishgard Housing Transfer System Unfair

Q63. I really love the scenery in the new areas. Do you have plans to introduce a housing ward in Ishgard?

A63. We’re currently working to solve the inconvenience in the extended wards, so we believe it’ll be after this. This is because we think we first need to create a transfer system for players who wish to move to an Ishgard area.
I don't see why if they own a house already why they should get the ability to transfer to new housing if its added. If anything they should be put on a time limit before they can own any ishgard housing until the people who want houses get a chance at them

    Discuss.

even if there wasn't a transfer system most people who really want to move would just abandon the house and move anyways

Them owning a house isn't going to stop them from abandoning it and buying one in Ishgard just because you want one. What makes them wanting one different from you wanting one?

It is a clear favor to those who already own a house, only allowing current home owners first dibs in Ishgard. Not surprising since housing is one of the most unfair things SE has rolled out thus far.

The only game I've seen where someone can own a home forever without even needing to log in during a certain timeframe to maintain ownership.

The problem isn't so much someone wanting to buy a home in Ishgard as much as that person wanting to purchase ANOTHER home in Ishgard. There's so few plots given the player population it's ridiculous.

You can't own more then one house per FC/Personal so if they lets say move to the new housing area their old housing location opens back up

With the amount of un-recoverable furnishings that many people have in their houses, I think it's only fair that some kind of transfer system be put into place for those of us that already have housing in one of the existing wards. With a new ward opening up, of course many people would be interested in it and it'd be nice if it didn't involve massive financial loss to move. In any case, it's not like you can own two houses. If I transfer my house from Goblet to Ishgard, then there's a house open in Goblet. Someone that didn't have a house before can get my old one. I don't see why there should be some kind of lockout for those that already have housing.

I don't read 'current house owners get first dibs' from that, I read 'we want to create a transfer system BEFORE we make new areas for housing'

I really don't get the people that complain about no housing. My husband had a small house and wanted to upgrade to medium a while back. He started keeping his eye on all the wards in each area, and found houses opening up regularly as people left or moved to new ones. He was able to get a medium for himself, found a nice spot open up in lavender beds that I got, and several other areas across a few weeks he pointed out to our FC that some had the money to snap up. Maybe it's stagnated since and everyone's settled in where they are, but this was long after the 'EVERY AREA IS FULL OMG' talk was going on.

With that said, how does transferring affect anyone else getting a home? It means some people who currently take up all the existing areas will move their home to ishgard instead, likely freeing up their old plot, giving new homebuyers their shot at every area instead of just ishgard.

This is a system that definitely needs to happen, releasing houses that haven't had the owner login after a certain amount of time has passed. Send them all their furnishings in the mail if they ever come back.

    OOOOOOOH!

A "But I WANT a Plot in Ishgard and the other ones have one already so they have to wait until I GET MINE!" Thread.

Don't kid yourself. Transfering into Ishgard will cost a hefty Sum of Gil. And i bet the Plots in Ishgard will be even higher priced than the older ones. Why? YOU GET FLOODED with Gil in Heavensward! Flooded! I did nothing but play PvE, CASUALLY Mind you, and i sit on damn 2 Million Gils doing the Stuff i like. Before Heavensward i was a damn beggar with somewhat 100K.
