Rising event music

The previous Rising events had the most beautiful soundtrack, and I've been eagerly awaiting the event's return specifically for the chance to hear it again. What happened?

I mean, sure this year we get a theme that's been part of the Final Fantasy franchise from the beginning, so it has some nostalgia value, but we already get that music on the game's launcher anyway. It definitely shouldn't have taken the place of the most beautiful music in the entire game.

Please, PLEASE bring back the Rising's soundtrack from the last couple years.

Look up "Answers". The Rising played an altered version of that song.

that song is called "Answers" and was - you can say - the theme of 2.0. it is played in the opening cutscene and in the coil of bahamut raid. it makes sense to replace it now, because the story is finished. there is a orchestrion scroll for that song btw.

It's not the Answers music, though it is an adaptation based off it. I've also heard from some 1.0 players that a very similar theme played near the end of the original game. But the Rising has its own adaptation of that. And it's the Rising event's adaptation that I want. (The regular "Answers" theme is nice enough itself, but is nowhere near the one I've been waiting all year to hear again.)

The one they played previously was Answers (Reprise). It's on the Before the Fall soundtrack.

Yes, that's the one. That's supposed to be playing during this event. Without that music, the whole event is broken.

Broken? Don't be dramatic. It's nice that the events are changed up every now and then.

It's not being dramatic. It's being honest. That music is the Rising. Without it, the event shouldn't exist. The event is plenty "changed up" by the fact that it has completely different content each year. What makes these events with different content qualify as being the same event is their one unifying element, that theme music. A theme which this year is missing, so yes, that's broken.

(And all that's completely apart from the fact that it's also the most beautiful music in the entire game. It's bad enough that it's only available once a year, but if we can't even get it that once, the game has lost its best element.)
