Returning Player seeking suggestions for DPS job

Hey everyone!

Took a few months off while I moved from east coast to west coast. So glad to be back! When I left Seph Ex was just coming out. I was raiding with Ninja but its definitely a job I don't truly enjoy or have a passion for. Im on the PS4 with a controller and I really want to get better with Dragoon. I'm not sure if its a user issue or what but I see that I'm not on point as I should be... I notice time to time that Heavy Thrust falls and every now and again Blood of the Dragon drops. The DRG does seem much more in-depth verse playing NIN with controller.

For those out there playing Dragoon with controller is this something that just takes time and practice to overcome? Looking for any help or suggestions. Thanks everyone!

I play dragoon on controller and it just takes practice. Make use of the cross hotbar or get familiar with the controller shortcuts to switch quickly from one hotbar to the next and back again. I'm so used to going between all three of my hotbars it's built into my muscle memory now.

Thank you! I'll take any advice. Do you have a screenshot of your hotbar setup? I'm rocking Full Thrust Combo with Jumps on Bar 1, Chaos Thrust Combo on another bar with Jumps then a Cross Hotbar with Fang & Claw, Wheeling plus my buffs

Double cross hotbars are coming soon too so that could help as well. I play on ps3 and main a nin because it's easy to get all useful abilities on the cross hotbar. Will probably try drg again when double cross hotbar comes out though.

@Bigsby I did see some pictures about the double crossbar, Me thinks having all skills more visible could greatly help manage cooldowns.
