    I would doubt Ildred is dumb enough to try summoning Rhalgr. Betrayer status notwithstanding, he spent enough time around the scions to know that primals are Bad News.

    The vibe I'm getting is more along the lines of what we saw with Ultima. Was it the gamerescape interview where Koji said the Heart of Sabik would be returning as an important plot point soon? A handy primal-dominating artifact, probably made of auracite, that Ilberd would have been able to read the top secret reports on.

    Yes, apparently, but Nael's claim was more in the form of a library and estate rather than royal eyes (which we never see). Either way, Royal families can get big, so one doesn't rule out the other.

    I'm with you on this. I've been on the lookout for evidence of Dark-aspected auracite (Black Auracite?), as (back in the Praetorium) Lahabrea called it a holy stone; set off all the right alarms. And compared to the introduction and behavior of White Auracite (plus Unukalhai's history), it all feels like it might be going in the same direction.
