Yeah, I noticed that. After going over Sophia's lyrics again, it seems that they imply her offering a philosophy or some such, much like Ramuh's theme. So perhaps she indoctrinated (or tempered) some of the Allagan soldiers, who were eventually sealed away with her? My current interpretation of the lyrics is this:

It seems to me like to much of a coincidence that this adds are using the same gear of someone who was a rebellion leader against the Allagan Empire ( it was that right? )
They could have added any add with the tradicional allagan gear.

Yeah, Phlegethon rebelled against Xande (the resurrected one, I believe), and was punished by becoming an immortal slave by Amon. Perhaps these soldiers were some of his men, then.
What calls my attention so much is that this adds are an elezen and a roegardyn, using the gear of Plegethon.
For what we know this races were not among the allagan, at least not on mayority.
Is this just a coincidence, just pure random assets or there is something more in here?

What if she copies some of your party member's appearances? It wouldn't be the first time its been a mechanic. Although, if that was the case then I would expect their job to be copied over, so that's most likely wishful thinking. And I guess even more unlikely because they share the same dark skin as Sophia, but with golden hair.
I didn't see any Roe in the party fighting Sophia. Could be wrong, but I didn't see any.
The larger one in the back with the spear, only visible for a few seconds in either place he pops up. I counted three, a male Elezen pld/gld, a male roe drg/lnc, and a female elezen (or maybe a highlander) whm/cnj (or blm/thm. The staff looked more whm-y from what I saw of it.) I also didn't see any roe in the party in the trailer, and the drg there is definitely a midlander, which makes the 'she copies PCs for her adds' theory seem iffy to me.
Given that there seems to be a connection between her and Phlegethon, though, the fact that she has a VA, and that the name Sophia... maybe she was something of an Ysale/Shiva of her era, who followed much the same path as Ysale did, either summoning the power of a historical figure (as Saint Shiva), or perhaps she summoned the power of one of the Twelve (presumably either Azeyma, or maybe Althyk? Given the large time gap, the cultural image of any of the twelve would likely have shifted signficantly), but rather than acknowledging her 'Eikon' form as that of a well known member of the Twelve, the Allagans who sealed her referred to her Sophia, (which would then likely be either her actual name, or an alternative name given to her for one reason or another). If this were the case, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if after she's beaten, she turns back into her non-primal/eikon form. It'd certainly make for an interesting twist, and add to the theme of cycles and patterns with the implication that ysale/thordan's actions were far from unique throughout the ages.
The only battle I know that sort of uses that is the first boss in Lost City of Adamapor Hard, but even then they just stand there and do AOEs based what direction you were facing last time. What if she copies some of your party member's appearances? Except everything that has happened in FFXIV's Palace of the Dead so far makes Nybeth the most likely culprit. Also Fog of Phantom was playing. Currently, we do not know if this will be a boss theme, or one of the Palaces themes.
Sound familiar? While Blackbosom was far from mindless, she was clearly not the Edda we knew (who also mentioned she saw a robed figure, or in other languages, a wizard).None of his work was an unqualified success--he complained that he could either revive the spirit or restore the body, but had not managed both for the same person. His subjects became mindless zombies; only at their moment of destruction did they regain their sanity, if only for a moment.
